Stratagus is a free cross-platform real-time strategy gaming engine. It is possible to play against human opponents over LAN, internet, or against the computer. The engine can be used to build real-time strategy games similar to C&C, Warcraft2, StarCraft, AOE, etc. It successfully runs under Amiga, GNU/Linux, BSD, BeOS, MacOS/X, MacOS/Darwin and MS Windows.
Note: The Stratagus engine is the continuation of the Freecraft engine, all game-data from Freecraft will be split out into seperate projects.

First, let me thanks you for all the porting work you’re doing. We don’t have much good games nowadays on Amiga, either on 68K/3.9 or even PPC OS 4.0/Morphos and you’ve a lot of conversions I wasn’t expecting anymore on my A1200/060/OS 3.9.
But for Stargus, it seems there’s a problem because the installer script is not starting on my computer. When I click on the installer icon, there’s an error “failed return code 20″. It seems IconX is unable to start that little script. I don’t why, since I have IconX installed in C: Let me know if you have any explanation.
By the way, is Stargus able to run Starcraft extensions (Broodwar and so on…) ?
Thank you in advance, David

The installer is not working yet, did you read readme?
No, as there is no port of them.

Thanks for the answer. It’s rather work in big, but I really didn’t pay attention that the installer was not working.
But you mean a special port of Starcraft extensions would be necessary to use them ? I thought Stargus engine was enough to make them run.
Anyway, I’ll tell you if it’s correctly working as soon as I get my original exemplar of Starcraft. I need to take it from my mother’s house.
